Mosquito Magnet Insect Traps

Anyone who has spent time sharing the outdoors with those tiny, little, itsy-bitsy mosquitoes, knows just how troublesome they can actually be. Those pesky critters can ruin an outdoor gathering quicker than a torrential downpour. However, there is a way to take back your outdoor space -- Mosquito Magnet insect traps.

Mosquito Magnet insect traps are easy to put together and it folds away nicely when not in use during the winter. Everything needed, other than propane and a propane tank, comes with the unit including the mosquito attractant and replacement nets. The insect trap’s fifty-foot cord plugs into a twelve-volt power supply. There is maintenance involved in maintaining the unit along with associated costs.

For example, you will need to replace the attractant system every three weeks, you will need to refill the propane tank when it runs out, and the mosquito nets will need to be replaced when they are full. However, if these annoying insects truly bother you, the maintenance is much less bothersome than the insect itself. Another exciting feature of Mosquito Magnet insect traps is that they protect an area up to one full acre. So how does the system work while so many others fail?

Mosquito Magnet insect traps are actually quite complex. They use a combination of hot, moist air, Co2, and Octenol (a mosquito attractant). This combination serves to confuse the mosquitoes and they think the system is a warm-blooded creature. As they get close to the system, the vacuum sucks them into a net where they die from dehydration.

Although the system is portable, it is rather large since it includes a twenty-pound propane tank sitting on a wheeled frame and a power pack, net, vacuum tube, and attractant holder that attached to a post above the propane tank. The principle is relatively simple yet quite clever. A gas line feeds the propane to the unit that then converts it into Co2 essentially fooling the mosquitoes into thinking it is warm human breath coming out of the system.

If mosquitoes bother you and your family in the summertime, look into this handy system. It may just allow you to begin enjoying the great outdoors once again. While it can be somewhat costly, ridding your yard of these little creatures may be well worth the cost, particularly in areas in which mosquitoes carry dangerous, life-threatening disease. Protect yourself and your children by eliminating these undesired pests.

Mosquito Magnet insect traps are probably one of the best systems on the market for the money. While there are less expensive alternatives to attacking these insects, they don’t always work. In fact, they rarely work very well at all. Why not enjoy the outdoors with your family this summer instead of hiding in your screen porch. Look into Mosquito Magnet insect traps and decide if they are what you need to get your backyard back.
