Yard Trimmers

A yard trimmer is a device designed for weed cutting, edging and even grass trimming.  It is a “must have” for every gardener and for any one having a garden o green backyard. Having a nice looking garden or  backyard can not be accomplished  by just  mowing the lawn. Certainly that is necessary,  but it is not enough to achieve the careful  and professional look. The final and detailed touches require the proper use of a yard trimmer. There are areas, edges and curves that can only be reached with a trimmer. That unwanted and bad looking vegetation growing around your flowers can be easily cut through with a yard trimmer. Yard trimmers make it possible to maintain a neat walk-side, edging along your driveways and walking paths, around trees and fences or flowers.Basically, yard trimmers have a small engine that spins a whirling plastic line or a cutting blade at a really high speed, this line or cutting blade will be responsible for cutting through all the weed, grass and general vegetation you want not to see. Their small size and design allow them to trim unwanted grass in both irregular and  straight edges, and you can even tidy an area of your yard that is too irregular to mow, maybe because it is a somehow rocky terrain or it is simple not plain enough for a traditional mowing machine. There are two main types of yard trimmers, electric or gas motor powered. Electric trimmers are certainly the cheapest option, prices vary from $50 to $150. They are more than enough for small garden or small to medium backyard maintenance.  They have a cutting swath of up to 12 inches. There are two possibilities among electric trimmers, cord dependable or cordless. The second ones have batteries that can be re charged. Even though these are useful and more than enough for a private use, they are limited in use to the extension of the cord or battery life. Besides an affordable price, they have the advantage of being light weight and easier to carry. Of course, you have less power than with gas motor  powered trimmers.Gas motor  powered yard trimmers are the professional’s  and big yard owners choice. They are certainly more powerful than electric trimmers and they cut larger swath (up to 16-18 inches) . Here there are two options: 2 or 4 cycle engines. 2 cycle engines are cheaper than their bigger sister, their price is generally lower than $200, and they function with a mixture of gas and oil. These ones tend to be noisier.Finally, 4 cycle engine motor yard trimmers are the most expensive option, but the performance justifies paying such price.  Professional users make them their favourite choice. Despite their power, they are still more silent and run more fluently. These ones do not require oil added to the gas.  You can be sure to be able to finish a big extension of work provided the gas tank is fully loaded before starting to work.
